The teacher fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community to support pupil learning and well being and acts with integrity, fairness and in an ethical manner. Evidence 1: Class Website Rationale 1: I created a website to be used with all of my Spanish classes and with Spanish Club. The websites can be found at: www.aoplinger.blogspot.com and http://chi-hi-spanishclub.blogspot.com/ I use the classroom site as a way for students and parents to access language learning resources, as a place to post instructions when classes are working in the computer lab, and as a place for other teachers or parents to see what we are doing in class. The Spanish Club site is used to keep members updated on club activities. Parents benefit from knowing where to go to get questions answered related to AP and Placement Testing. Students can utilize the posted links for getting extra help with vocabulary or grammar or for enrichment activities. When we are in the computer lab students benefit from knowing exactly where to go to get instructions. Additionally, if a student is absent, he or she can access the same information as the class, without being present. Other teachers within the building benefit from knowing what I am doing in my classes. Teachers can use my website and my links within their own classes. Using the website has been beneficial to me. I have one place where I can post all the information I care to share with my students. The site is easy to manage and has encouraged me to find additional resources that students may use. The Spanish Club site has been a great way to collaborate with the other advisor and with the Spanish Club officers. When students are absent and need to access information outside of school this gives them a place to go to. Parents sometimes have questions about policies that can be answered from information I have posted on the website. 10.S.3The teacher can identify and use community resources to foster student learning. The website has several language learning resources that students can access for extra help or for enrichment. 10.D.4The teacher respects the privacy of students and confidentiality of information. Photos that are posted to the Spanish Club website are done without the use of names or other identifying information in order to protect the identity of the students.
